Islamic Social Services New York Department - MAS Staten Island
MAS Brooklyn and Staten Island, New York would like to present the start of our Social Services Department that will be dedicated to helping strengthen our community around Mental Health, Social Development, and Family Wellness.
“There is no disease that Allah has created, except that He also has created its treatment.” – Prophet Muhammad PBUH
MAS BK/SI Social Services Department was created as a need to fill in the gaps that are missing within our Muslim community. We provide low cost affordable in-house counseling at our MAS Youth Center. We also assist with finding a therapist, provide psycho-education workshops, Mental Health Mondays & so much more! Our goal is to bridge the gap between mental health & the Muslim community while also normalizing conversations about wellness. Follow us on our social media pages to stay connected.

There are different ways in which our self-esteem can be impacted. Remember that self-esteem is not only about how you see yourself, it is also about how you think of yourself as a sibling, friend, or child. All of these factors play a role.
