Islamic Social Services New York Department - MAS Staten Island
MAS Brooklyn and Staten Island, New York would like to present the start of our Social Services Department that will be dedicated to helping strengthen our community around Mental Health, Social Development, and Family Wellness.
“There is no disease that Allah has created, except that He also has created its treatment.” – Prophet Muhammad PBUH
MAS BK/SI Social Services Department was created as a need to fill in the gaps that are missing within our Muslim community. We provide low cost affordable in-house counseling at our MAS Youth Center. We also assist with finding a therapist, provide psycho-education workshops, Mental Health Mondays & so much more! Our goal is to bridge the gap between mental health & the Muslim community while also normalizing conversations about wellness. Follow us on our social media pages to stay connected.
Take the next step & seek help today!

Mental Health Mondays Are BACK! Our new series as we transition into back-to-school season is finding confidence in our identities. So often as minorities in so many spaces, we can struggle to feel grounded in our sense of self and who we are. It causes us to waver, question, feel smaller, etc. This series will focus on what identity means and what it can encompass, what it means to be confident versus arrogant, how we can be grounded in who we are (ethnically, religiously, racially, etc.), and how we can uplift others who are being put down.
We look forward to seeing both old and new faces so be sure to spread the word and join us this Monday at 7PM!

WE NEED YOUR HELP! MAS MYC will be partnering with Muhsen to elevate and ensure that MYC is accessible to all those in our community with special needs. In order to do this, we need your help to spread the word and have anyone you know who is an individual with special needs or a parent/guardian or caregiver of someone with special needs to fill out this survey which will help us determine the what is most needed in our community. Go to muhsen.org/need-survey/ or find the link to the survey in our linktree! We are excited to embark on this path to creating more accessibility to all with the help of MUHSEN!
